I grew up Bangladeshi-American, which taught me translation before it taught me almost anything else: between languages, between my parents' world and the one outside the door, between people who look at the same thing and see opposites. I never stopped. A civilization, near as I can tell, is just translation that learned to last — markets, law, language, a shared memory of who decided what — the machinery that lets minds who don't match keep one world steady for longer than a single conversation. Most of what I do is build smaller versions of that machinery, for teams of people and machines. I founded Superintelligent Group (ΣIG), build aug.dev (an augmented development stack for builders), and work mostly in human augmentation, cognitive computational neuroscience, and neurorobotics. More fields on the research page. I'm pulled toward the parts that fail loudly — where something can fall out of the sky or a wafer can't be un-etched: TARS flying robots, DTU cleanrooms.
The bottleneck I keep hitting isn't how capable any single system gets. It's coordination — the same old problem, now with machines in the room as full participants. Lately I'm building toward something I call supercoordination: how teams of people and models stay aligned on what's happening, what was already decided, and what's contested, without coordination replacing the work. I'm working on it at ΣIG and in the open on AI Civilizations. Can you tell what a swarm actually decided, and push back before the decision hardens? Most tools won't let you; I'm building ones that do. The current work page has the builds.
