I raid critical theory and phenomenology the same way I raid CUDA docs: when a build decision needs a wider angle than the code gives me. A few of the shelves I pull from.
What I actually read across silos
Critical theory and the humanities watch the power and the erasures: who disappears when a system “just works.” Long-horizon futurology fixes my sense of scale. First-person phenomenology guards the qualia, the texture of experience from the inside, which the cosmos page takes slower. PsychonautWiki maps part of that terrain with unusual care. None of it replaces measurement. It sets the bar for what building something that lasts would actually take.
The full map of knowledge is wider than STEM, and ignoring half of it builds tools that feel clever right up until a human is waiting on the other side. The outline of academic disciplines has the intimidating version.
Analytic and continental braid
On the philosophy page I argue against cognitive offloading and for partnership. The habit behind that argument braids analytic philosophy (argument, clarity, what would falsify this) with continental philosophy (history, critique, what it feels like to live inside an institution). I borrow from metamodernism, complex-systems thinking, and cognitive science when they change a decision, not when they sound impressive in a deck. I do not hand critique to a single framework, or to a model.
